Amsterdam-based Monumental develops autonomous, AI-powered robots that work on real construction sites, starting with bricklaying and other masonry.

Using computer vision to navigate and adapt, its robots aim to ease the chronic labor shortages and inefficiencies plaguing construction. The systems have been deployed on sites in the Netherlands and pilot projects beyond.

It is a tangible example of embodied AI tackling a physical, high-impact industry rather than a screen-based task.
